Yep, there's a TON of mods for the Tacoma but it's nothing new...I remember seeind mod-ed out T-100's when I was younger!

To each his own....some guys seem to have too much money laying around so, hey, let's lift her a few inches and hey lets lift you a few more inches but, on ho, I'm gonna need bigger wheels now....and it goes on and on!

Years ago, big bull balls hanging down from the rear trailer hitch was the fad and I really did hate seeing that....come on, man!!

New Tacoma owner here. After reading this entire thread I thought I’d chime in. I don’t know if it counts but it hasn’t been said yet. Getting a Tacoma with almost every option box ticked EXCEPT 4WD.

I never understood the whole paint match everything trend, and its lasted considerably longer than I ever thought it would. Guys are out there cracking open headlights and painting the insides, doing custom suspension and painting it too. Alot of time, money, and effort goes into these builds. But I need color to be broken up by something. Just looks tacky like an oversprayed model car when its like that.

That's actually why I prefer a vinyl top on the old muscle cars as much of a pain as they are. I plan to bedliner my 72 roadrunners roof to mimic the vinyl top look after I replace it.

The mod itself isn't really the problem. But people who drive with ditch lights on while on public roads. I just don't get it.

I pretty much agree with everything cringe : fangs, ditch lights, low pro tires, non Oem Trd badges ….

But for 35” tires that stick out, I like trucks which as 1”-3” poke .
