I thought Toyota never did that. That'd be a dream come true. That's cool.

Yes that’s true, don’t know why. Perhaps they think the winters here or the way majority of owners use Tacomas here may impact their usefulness? Thanks bro, not sure why Canada would limit the premiums to only 5’. I also seen that for the Canadian premiums, they also remove the Power Tailgate feature from them, is that true?
It may have something to do with Hawaii. The Toyota dealerships in Hawaii go through Toyota Japan, while the Toyota dealers on the mainland go through Toyota USA.I thought Toyota never did that. That'd be a dream come true. That's cool.
Maybe it’s to give people more of a reason to buy the Limited in Canada, since the premium package only comes in the short beds up there, it probably competes too closely to it. Thats the whole reason I bought the spec I bought, It has essentially all the features luxury features of the Limited minus the power steps and the AVS suspension. It also has all the Off-Road features of a TRD Pro minus the Fox suspension and the ISO dynamic seats, and it comes in DCLB which neither of them did. The TrailHunter is the only one that comes close to it, but it’s another $10,000 more than my truck, and I really wanted Blue Crush. All the things that are missing from mines compared to a Limited, TRD Pro, or TrailHunter, could easily be added aftermarket, or is better not having it.Yes that’s true, don’t know why. Where as a lot of Wannabes drive F150’s or Rams as luxury vehicles here, Tacomas seem to be bought more by pickup people that do pickup things in Canada. As a contractor I knew used to say, maybe they think “we’re hard on equipment” lol.
Yea unfortunately we do not get the power tailgate or the digital rear view mirror as options on the Premium. You have to spend something like 7-8k more to go the the Limited trim(which we only get as a hybrid) or go up to the TRD Pro/Trailhunter to get those features. Its disappointing to me because I would have loved to have a TRD Off Road Premium with the 6ft bed, power tailgate and digital mirror. Thanks bro, not sure why Canada would limit the premiums to only 5’. Thanks, Bronze Oxide is definitely a nice color, and it seems like it’s also one of the most popular colors this generation, at least it’s something different that usual White, Black, Silver, and Grays that all cars on the road seem to be these days. Bronze Oxide also kind of reminds me of the old Pyrite Mica from the 2nd Gen Tacomas. It was a toss up for me on that color. I was in the market for a 2024-2025 Tacoma TRD OR long bed also. It was between the Blue Crush and the Bronze Oxide. Bronze Oxide won. lol. Nice truck bud!
I’m thinking it’s the Toyota Distributors that make the decisions. In Hawaii all 2024 Base TRD Sport‘s and Off Roads automatically came with the 14” screen and didn’t offer the 8” screen until 2025. We also didn’t get the TRD Upgrade Package for 2024 only came in Base or Premium, we only started getting the Upgrade Package in 2025. We also didn’t get the TRD Pre Runner for 2024 or 2025, we only started getting them for 2026. We also never got any with the factory TRD lift kits, we are still waiting for them to release them from Stop Sale so we can sell them through the parts department.Yea unfortunately we do not get the power tailgate or the digital rear view mirror as options on the Premium. My dad's 2011 Tundra is Pyrite Mica. Its one of the main reasons I chose it.Thanks, Bronze Oxide is definitely a nice color, and it seems like it’s also one of the most popular colors this generation, at least it’s something different that usual White, Black, Silver, and Grays that all cars on the road seem to be these days.
