I work with a lot of people like you guys.

Always making things more complicated than they need to be.
What's complicated about using data to inform your decisions? And I even provided a simple approach - change your oil and filter every 5000m (8000km) at a minimum. I can't think of a way to make it more simple.

Change the filter every time. You’re risking running unfiltered oil through your engine, when the filter becomes plugged it will bypass the filter. At what point will that happen? I don’t want to find out.

Yes, do the filter. First few changes or so will be washing out millings and other shavings. Besides filters are kinda cheap if you order online. Maybe just under 5 bucks. Dont skimp, not worth it.

FWIW I'm just under 25K and just had my 9th oil change.

@Pappy are those larger filters a confirmed fit? Might be worthwhile switching to the bigger ones as there is room

What I've noticed on mine (hybrid) is fuel smell when checking the oil, and doing a sniff test. I do lots of short trips so could be the reason why I guess. There's no way I'd do intervals longer than 5-6000 kms. I've been using Mobil 1 EP 0w20, changed initially at 500km, then 1500km, and at 2500km I sucked out half the oil and dumped in M1 EP 5w30  ...she seems to like it!! Probably will keep doing a 50/50 mix of 0w20 and 5w30...so fight me! lol. That damn 0w20 is so thin it gives me the heebie-jeebies :whew:. I'm concerned about fuel dilution and viscosity shearing

I've run all of them, well, I haven't seen an N3 yet (N3 superseded -10010 which is now NLA in the USA). But yes, I've run -10009, -10010, N1, F1. When I took my truck in for it's 20K service, the tech noticed I had a F1 on the engine, and installed another. It was funny. The paperwork said N1.

Nothing says ‘simple maintenance’ like graphs, baselines, and a spreadsheet named UOA_Trend_Final_v7.xlsx.

A picture is worth what?

Also, for chuckles and grins ... I have no thoughts or opinions at this time (I don't have the skills or knowledge to have an opinion). I can tell you the pleat count is different. This picture is posted for entertainment purposes only (my entertainment, grabbing popcorn for the comments). I will let you all argue about this. Bottom line ... run what you want.

@Pappy I've got an M1-103 filter on currently, and it's definitely an inch longer than the OEM toyota filter...more similar to the 10010 version I'd say. Honestly...the OEM filter for these trucks is smaller than most lawn mower engines. It's pretty pathetic, especially considering the recommended oil change interval. Planned obsolesce if you ask me...

I understand all of that. I am at 24k on my 2024 Limited. The next oil change is scheduled for 3/2026 or 28,500 miles.
I am at 22k on my '24 Taco MT, I did the first oil change for free at 10k, but felt like that was way to long to wait to change the oil, I did my next at 15k, then they paid for it again at 20k. I let them change the filter each time, I just think it's best to baby the engine rather than push it to use contaminated oil for an extended period of time.
