I have the dobinsons 817 arriving today. I carry a smartcap, 3" latex mattress, subwoofer and enclosure, rock rails, engine and diff slider and some more general shit in the bed. I think 175-330lb range will be perfect.

Got them installed Friday afternoon. Spring compressors make them a lot easier to put in, especially the passenger side.

Remember to disconnect brake line for driver side from axle so you don’t stress it out.

Took a drive today, super happy with the ride quality. With the weight I had in the bed, the stock springs were feeling kinda boaty on bumps that weren’t symmetric, and bottoming out on speed bumps. Not any more. Weight felt like it wasn’t even there, yet the ride wasn’t harsh at all.
