I installed the panels today
Front panel was easy except for a toyota problem. One of the bed bolts was over torqued and I slightly stripped the head getting it loose. I was able to get it to work with a reverse drill and hammering a hex bit into it and was able to tighten it back down. I ordered extra Bed Bolts if I ever need to take it off
Instead of taking off the bed rail. I loosened all the bolts and took out one and put the bracket in one by one. After getting the floor bolts tight I tightened these all up. I had to trim my oem bed pad where the brackets were
I think any front panel will work here as the bars were not lowered like the side rails
I then put the brackets on the side rails in the same way. The secret to making them fit it to make sure they are as high as they can be before tightening them down.
There is a problem that maybe only the premium trim has. The box on the drivers side with 12V and USB plugs was not considered in the design. You can't open it up all the way, but seems enough that you can use the power outlets without any issues
Instead of using a helicoil on the bottom I used the bracket on one of the power box bolts. You can see that in the above picture
I also figured out if I cut the little wing that blocks the door I could use the top power box bolt (longer bolt) with a stand off (see above picture). Or maybe a bracket from a different hole would work there. I didnt try that
I paintt marked the helicoil spots per side and then decided to use on size smaller drill bit with the rack in place through the brackets. I then took the rack off and made the holes bigger until the helicoil would fit
I then put the panels on. Tight fit, but they work
My 2 gallon rotopax comes tomorrow and if it works with just the rotopax mount I will order another one. If not, I will look at a mounting plate
Other than the one oversight for the trims with the power outlets (or compressor in trail hunter) it works great. Nice quality and happy with the purchase
now to get some more mounts for my stuff to put on the panels
