Yep, my transmission has gotten smoother with more miles too. Most of the time my shifts are now super smooth, although I had harsh shifts in and out of first and second when it was new. Before I had 1k miles on my truck some shifts into reverse were incredibly rough, like something had broken.

When my engine is not fully warmed up it makes a very slight, but noticeable engagement shudder when it first restarts. Once it is all warm it is so smooth you hardly know the engine has restarted. I think that is because of how quickly the ICE fires once it is warm.

I agree. Various applications of this transmission have had a lot of complaints about harsh shifts, in both Toyota and Lexus vehicles. I don't think total smoothness is on this transmissions menu unfortunately, and some are perfect while some are terrible like @Gfenza89's truck.

Have you encountered shifting from D to P and hearing a clunk sound from the back?

I have but not often, the clunk might have been from transmission, not sure.
So are we assuming that’s normal? I’ve asked my dealer but they can’t recreate the issue. The other time I get this issue is if my truck is elevated and then I shift the clunk happens.

When I say elevated I mean one wheel on my sidewalk and the others on the street.

Same exact thing for me. I can’t say if it’s normal, but I think it’s a weird quirk of this new transmission

No worries - it happens most for me when I’m going into reverse and it always kind of catches me off guard - it’s like a harsh engagement / thud
Yes precisely what I’m dealing with. It feels like it’s going to snap
