Hi everyone,

We’re excited to share that we’re currently developing A-pillar grab handles specifically for the 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma!

We’ve noticed that many owners find it a bit challenging to get in and out of the new Tacoma, especially after lifting the truck or adding bigger tires. These grab handles aim to greatly improve ease of entry and exit, providing better support and comfort without interfering with airbags or trim aesthetics.

Before finalizing the design, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Have you felt the need for A-pillar handles in your 4th Gen Tacoma?
  • What kind of design or materials would you prefer (OEM-style, off-road rugged, leather-wrapped, etc.)?
  • Do you have concerns about installation, fitment, or compatibility with airbags or trim?
  • Any other features you'd love to see included?
  • And one more thing — what would be a fair price range you’d be comfortable paying for a high-quality A-pillar grab handle kit?

Your feedback will directly influence our final product, so feel free to be honest and detailed!

We’ll be offering early product photos and perhaps even a few beta test opportunities for forum members 👀

Thanks for your time and input!

If built to an OE spec with matching materials/finishes while not interfering with the airbag or safety functionality, this will be a home run for 4th gen owners. The terrible passenger side… hand hold, or whatever it’s called should be an easy replacement.

This looks like a home run if designed and built well. As for price, I’d pay a couple hundred bucks, I think, if they didn’t look like an afterthought.

Good luck!

I have been hoping for something like this. My initial input is if I was presented with a finger groove option and a full grip option I'd be choosing the latter. Something to grab and wrap my fingers fully around (and through) for confidence. Additionally, it can't creak excessively, and should look OEM. I'd love to cover whatever you come up with on YouTube Team Oil drop.

I am interested in this product if it can be "grabbed" while entering the vehicle. If the windshield side of the handle is smooth/not indented to provide sufficient purchase while entering, I am not interested. I'm thinking that the price should be <$100.

I agree with the above. I would like something I can wrap my hand around to pull myself in. It needs to be solid, without any give and or noise when using. If you make one which stands out a little more from the A-pillar and is a bit beefier than the one on the passenger's side, I would consider upgrading the passenger's side too, if it was available. I miss the ones in my FJ, looking forward to what you come up with!

The grab "handle" on the passenger side was a definite miss by the 4th Gen development team. What were they thinking?

I am not interested in drivers side. I would love a "real" grab handle for passenger side. I've had many passengers complain, especially my wife. Price. <$150 for good quality, OEM appearance. I would certainly consider off road rugged or leather, I've got plenty of other non OEM mods, so no issue there. Definitely sign me up for testing.

Oem look please, with a real handle. Plastic is fine, but like someone else said “no creaky plastic”. If you’re doing the driver side, go ahead and do the passenger side as well. It’s terrible. Sell them as a set. I’d buy one. But what I’d really like is an overhead grab handle like on the passenger side. Does anyone know if there are mounting locations above that driver’s side door for adding an OEM Toyota one?

I’d love one for both sides. I usually use the steering wheel to pull myself in. Why didn’t they include a grab handle?!

My wife is 5' tall and has issues getting in on the passenger side, the current "Grab Handle" is useless. If it's a full grip grab handle with an OEM look then sign me up! Drivers side might not be as important but if sold as a set then you can't go wrong. Please keep us posted!

Definatey needed and I like what you have so far. Agree with the need on the passenger side as well and would buy as a set
