I wonder what level of lift would have allowed those tires without trimming...
I believe it may be related to offset. Others on this forum have apparently run 285 75 r17 on the stock TRD OR wheels (+55 offset) with no rubbing. A +25 offset is quite a big change and pushes the tire out, decreasing the clearance in the front and back when the tire turns . Perhaps a +35 offset or higher would prevent the need for trimming, but I am not certain.Thanks I appreciate it! I’m debating on getting just 10mm wheel spacers but money can be better spent elsewhere.
I think just a minimal level would be all I would need. It only rubbed on the driver side when turning in reverse. That’s on pavement but I have not tested it off road yet so we’ll see how it does!
