I love the stance on this truck, super tough looking.

I wonder what level of lift would have allowed those tires without trimming...
Thanks I appreciate it! I’m debating on getting just 10mm wheel spacers but money can be better spent elsewhere.

I think just a minimal level would be all I would need. It only rubbed on the driver side when turning in reverse. That’s on pavement but I have not tested it off road yet so we’ll see how it does!
I believe it may be related to offset. Others on this forum have apparently run 285 75 r17 on the stock TRD OR wheels (+55 offset) with no rubbing. A +25 offset is quite a big change and pushes the tire out, decreasing the clearance in the front and back when the tire turns . Perhaps a +35 offset or higher would prevent the need for trimming, but I am not certain.

Here is a great video showing the relation between wheel offset and tire clearance:

Hello everyone! I thought I'd finally add my 2024 TRD Off-Road premium to the build list here! Purchased the truck in June 2024 and have been chipping away at upgrades. The goal is to be able to camp and do some light off roading with it as well as my daily driver. The color and spec is exactly what I wanted and I'm very happy to have this as my first pickup(mostly Audis before this). I have more photos, videos and discount codes on my Instgram : @braaadyyota
Below are my current modifications.

Exterior
  • Relations Race wheels | RR7-H 17x8.5 +25
  • Falken Wildpeak AT4W 285/75/17
  • No lift/level - Very minor cutting to front bumper so far
  • Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro ditch lights
  • Lasfit DRL turn signal LEDs
  • Cornfed Suspension front and rear soft shackle recovery mounts
  • SXTH Element off road trail pipe
  • Perry Parts rear bump stops
  • TripleALiner & OEM bed mat
  • PPF on front clip, mirrors, A pillars, leading edge of roof and leading edge of bed sides
  • 50% windshield tint, 30% front window tint
Interior
  • TripleALiner and Lasfit floor mats
  • Muslogy center console organizer and lid storage
  • ScreenproTech screen protector kit
Future Plans
  • Just picked up an iKamper mini 2.0, planning on getting the Xtrusion Overland XBRS rack
  • Diode Dynamics SS6 fog lights
  • TRD Pro grille w/light bar w/out raptor lights
  • Eibach lift kit?
  • SXTH Element intake

Lasfit DRL turn signal LED's?

This is what Lasfit said when I asked about DRL/switchbacks. "

Thanks for contacting Lasfit.
The only way to let swithbacks act as a replacement for the DRLs is to select the Parking mode.
At this mode, other external lights will work at the same time, including parking lights, side marker lights, and taillights."

How are you getting them to work as DRL's? Thanks in advance

I just have my lights set to automatic. The DRLs will be on at all times and the headlights will turn on automatically.
Edit: I may have modified it with Carista but I can’t remember. I don’t believe I did.

Got it...So the Lasfit switchbacks only work in the parking light mode? I don't have my switch on AUTO because the lights come on when I start the truck in the garage, then switch off when I back out. I wish Toyota had a DRL only mode.

That could be yeah. I think in my photo with the tree that’s later in the day I had it switched to parking mode. I park in the garage and it does the same thing but it doesn’t bother me at all.

Was there a big difference when installing the Perry bump stops?

I just switched to 285/70/17 ko3 and have noticed a bit more bump. This was the next part im thinking about.

I haven’t fully put them to the test yet unfortunately. Haven’t done much real off-roading with it yet. They have Instagram and I’m sure plenty of people have put them to the test! From what I’ve heard, it’s a much more progressive feeling vs a hard stop.
