Trailhunter lift options

Installed Dobison 822's and 821's today. Was pretty labor entensive but super happy with the results. They will be getting field tested in the Maze District of Canyonlands this week! Pics to follow soon.

Just got done installing Dobinsons springs rear and front on my TrailHunter Long Bed. I went with C59-820 in the front and C59-819v in the rear. I have about 300 lbs of weight in the back with the Decked system and items in the drawer. The front netted me about 1" more height (22.5" to 23.5" as measured center of hub to fender) and about 2.5" more height in the rear (23" to 25.625" as measured center of hub to fender). First two photos are before but with added weight with the old wheels and tires. Black springs were stock TH springs and the red are the Dobinsons.

How is this setup holding up for you? I'm seriously considering doing the same for my 24 trailhunter. Also curious if you have any rubbing during articulation or needed any cutting with the larger tires?

I've put the exact same Dobinson springs in my TH, because of @MrJetset, and here is my input.. do it. The truck feels like a go-cart flying down the back roads!

Firstly, I don't think I have the same results as far as lift. I've measured, from hub to fender, on both my TH and a brand-new model at my Dealership. Front spacing seems to be the exact same, at 23.5" but forgot to get the rear. Maybe I'll work on re-measuring everything... lol

With the springs in place, and removing the crash bar, there was no rubbing so long as there were no mud flaps. With the Canadian OEM mud guards in place, rubbing was atrocious. So I ordered ARKs and the ARK crash-bar delete insert. Still a bit of rubbing. THEN Rokblox came out with their high-clearance set. Absolute gamechanger with ZERO rubbing with my 35" Falken ATW4s.

Are those 35x12.5? I'm changing my wheels (not a fan of the TH wheels or 18" in general" and going to Method 703s. Seems like +35 offset is the ticket from what I have been reading.

I went with the 35 11.5s. OH, and also put Peak Suspension's 1" spacer in the front, to level out the stance.

So you have the collar/spacer and the dobinson front springs?

Yes. But I had eliminated the rubbing even before putting the spacer in.

For anyone who comes here to reference, seems Dobinsons may have updated their load ratings for the springs. I spoke with Dobinsons and confirmed the values on the site, updated list. Note: I pulled this information for the 4th gen hybrid search.

I didn't want stock ride height with my weight, so ended up going with the 823v. Will be installing them in the next couple weeks, so will see how that works out.

The set up is holding up pretty nicely! I just added at least a couple pounds to the front with a CBI Covert Bumper and a Warn Evo 12S winch, as well as a KC Gravity Titan Light 50" Light bar on the roof rack. I just measured and I lost about an inch in the front putting me back to stock for the Trailhunter there. I will probably go up to the next size there to see if i can get that inch back.

I do not believe that you can go wrong with that CBI bumper w/ Bull bar. The KC light bar is attached to what roof rack? I have the CBI super covert with Badlands Apex.

Believe it or not, the Toyota Roof Rack. I designed brackets to mount it up there to the factory bolt holes. These were the prototype, I have tweaked the design and I am waiting on the new version to show up. But they were 99% there with these.
