Finally installed the Trailhunter Snorkel on my TRD Pro.

Thanx to brother @tipsyjam for the assist on procuring the parts.

I totally love the Snorkel and Dump Exhaust from the Trailhunter and am happy I was able to add these two items on the TRD Pro.

The Tacoma looks great it also no longer looks like a TRD PRO. Would it have been better to have started with something other than a TRD PRO? Perhaps a Hybrid premium OR? The reason I ask is that I see all the different changes that you've made that look like you've spent a good amount of $ for that setup. Don't get me wrong looks really good. I got my TRD Pro so that I wouldn't have to make changes to it.

Is it a night and day difference in sound?
I would say so….

But the turbo noises and air intake sounds are minimal to non-existent with the windows rolled up and especially when music is playing.

With the passenger window down, you can hear the turbocharger spooling and blow-off valve noises right next to the cabin.

I bought the TRDPro in 2025 because I was in love with the mudbath color and I loved the TRD Pro seats.

Only the TRD Pro in all model lines in 2025 had mudbath.

If there was a TRD OR Hybrid available I would have given a lot of thought about purchasing it
instead because I don’t care for the sunroof on my TRD pro. I don’t care for sunroof on any of my vehicles.

I like the Trailhunter snorkel and the dump exhaust so now I have these parts on my TRD Pro.

That’s why I bought my TRD Pro and why I added the Trailhunter goodies.

How did you do that snorkel and what did it cost all said and done ? Super cool!

I’m with you there man. One of the reasons I stayed away from the premium Sport is the sunroof. The premium OR was 5’ only and had a sunroof. 🤦
I wish that one option all manufacturers would give you more choice on. Like my 2012 Ram Laramie I spec’d with choice options and no sunroof.

I understand the decision so much better now. Thanks for sharing. I opted for the PRO over the TH because of the seats and I liked the PRO interior more. I actually wanted the sunroof. I like sliding the shade to let the light in. None of my other Tacomas had a sunroof. I modded my previous Tacoma and chose not to do it again at least for now. I've done some minor mods but not to the same extent.

Nice build

I added the Pro’s rocker deflectors to my TH, much of the year I don’t do a lot of heavy duty rock crawling, but I am on a lot of service roads in the desert and the high intake is a nice touch.

The 2 halos are basically the same truck, although I have a long bed so it corners a little different.

Do you find them effective ? I have them on my truck and keep going back and forth between taking them off or leaving them. Last time I took them off they had a couple deep chips so they went back on lol

Your rig looks awesome bro.

Yeah…. If my rig was a street and desert runner I would have just kept the Pros rocker deflectors…..

But I go trailing around NorCal and added beefier Relentless Fabrication rock sliders.

Great to have interchangeable parts from the 2 Halos indeed

I've been considering it. Have a few other items to knock out first.
