Hello, new member here.

I am looking for some suggestions for a low maintenance UCA for my truck. I recently picked up the Eibach Pro Truck lift - Stage 2R (2 inch front, 1 inch rear). I know that I shouldn’t need an aftermarket UCA with only 2 inches in the front, but I’d like to future-proof the build and make sure that the alignment is correct.

right now I’m leaning toward the following UCAs:

1. Dirt King 4130
2. OME
3. JBA

I would prefer to keep greaseless bushings, which is why the JBA is 3rd on the list.

Only mod so far is upgrading the tires to 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks

My opinion here ...

Dirt King is good, but has proprietary ball joints. Good quality ball joints, but when they wear you better hope that DK is still in business (or their subsidiary Probearing is in business). Or buy an extra pair now to hold onto as spares.

OME uses a generic cheap OEM style ball joint, with a fancy aluminum cover. Nothing special and not worth the money IMO.

JBA is good quality, and has a custom ball joint with more travel. It's the same mounting as a generic GM truck ball joint so you can replace it easily if JBA can't provide parts. The traditional poly bushings will need lube occasionally, but it's easy to add a few pumps of silicone grease and wipe off the excess every year.

Any other brands with real uniballs will need more maintenance, and if you're in a road salt area, they wear out faster. Sealed joints are the way to go on a daily driver.

The bushings aren't as big of a deal, and it's easy to grease them periodically if they are regular poly bushings. But if you don't want to deal with that, one of the maintenance - free options will be your best choice.

Awesome thanks for all the suggestions and feedback! I come from the Nissan Frontier world and having aftermarket support and choices is overwhelming… haha!

I have tubular Icons, they came with the Ironman4x4 kit before they released their own. They started squeaking with less than 2000 miles. Doesn't seem like Ironman will do anything about it so I'll have to pay for a different set come spring.

I'm a fan of Dirt Kings uca. It's what they built their business on and have been around for 16 years. I have JBA's and they're good no doubt but the paint started falling of after one winter.
