2024 Tacoma WARNING LIGHTS ON AFTER LIFTING FRONT IMG_4619

Hello guys,

I installed the Rough Country 2" M1 Shocks and Upper control arms. These lights came on 1 week after installation. Truck had a 1.5 Leveling kit before and lights never turned on. Took it to dealer and they want $240 for a diagnostic.

could this happen due to the lift?
Thanks..

Yep, that's gonna be the lift.
You'll need to recalibrate your cameras/sensors

Can’t remember the thread? But someone just reset some codes and didn’t have to recalibrate it.

It’s usually caused when your jacking up the front end with the computer ā€œawakeā€ it thinks it was in an accident. Too prevent this place any fob at least 20ft away and wait 15-20 mins before starting the job.

Will disconnecting the battery reset this ? Or does that need to be done before you start?

It may reset it, but you should be disconnecting the battery before you do any type of work that is remotely related to any of the senors/cameras.

The shop I had install my Eibach system disconnected the battery first. I have had no issues after the fact like your describing. That’s probably what your shop did not do when you had your system installed. Hopefully it works out for you and doesn’t cost a lot.

Did you end up getting this resolved?
Not yet. I have an appointment next week with a guy that replaces windshields. He has the ADAS equipment. So I'll see if that works. If so, much cheaper than Dealer.

So They recalibrated everything and now they're telling me that it's the speed sensor. They're saying that my truck needs a longer one. Has anyone had this issue?

Damn dude. I'm sorry. That's annoying!

I've had no issues, but only went up 1.5" in the front. Seems odd that you would need that though. Especially when folks are doing even bigger lifts than you did.

Yeah..this is frustrating. All points that the speed sensor is damaged because the volts are off. Hopefully that will solve the issue. Wish me luck
