I like blue trucks. I have owned many blue trucks. I have owned three blue Tacoma’s, a 2017 Blazing Blue Pearl, a 2021 Voodoo Blue and currently a 2025 Blue Crush Metallic, so I feel like I can honestly say of Wave Maker……..No, just no.

Correct! Obnoxiously hideous. But a % of the human race, you go there and they will "be all about it".
Toyota is running out of color ideas - and this is an obvious break from earth tones of terra and mud... but wow. This teal like color was hideous on Fords in the 90's and my opinion has not changed ;). I would so take even a deep purple over this "Barbie" color.

But what I really want is iso seats as an option, not standard in the '26 pro! Please.....

Not a Wavemaker fan, but to each their own IMO.

Correction: The iso dynamic seats are going to be available on 2026 Tundra Pros, but I can't remember if they will be standard or an option. Maybe they will make them optional on both trucks, which would be a smart move. Wavemaker will be replaced by a new Pro color the following year as always.

Standard or option? Might want to consider this color at a discounted rate

I'm not a big fan of this "teal" color either—but to be fair, I'm not particularly fond of some of the other color options Toyota offers for the Tacoma.

That said, I do appreciate Toyota stepping away from the same tired palette that many automakers recycle over and over again.

Think back to the Mopars of the late '60s and early '70s—those cars came in some wild colors that were often ridiculed at the time. I remember people calling them "ugly," yet today, those same colors are among the most collectible, and the folks who held onto them are laughing all the way to the bank.

But hey, if you're into safe, boring colors that blend in with a million others on the road, more power to you—just don't expect them to turn heads.

I follow the collectors market closely on some vehicle, particularly 4th gen Supras. The most demand and the highest prices go to the rare colors that were not popular when the cars were new. So Wavemaker might make a good investment over the long run.

You cannot compare a relative limited run sports car that is in demand with a basic every day truck that is produced in the millions. Having a Tacoma in any color other than the most sold like black, white, red etc will limit the resale audience considerably and will certainly not command a premium. A Tacoma is not an investment in any way, shape or form.

It's like you're quoting someone straight out of the late '60s! 😄

Those Mopars in the "odd" colors were produced in much smaller numbers compared to the more common models that were built by the millions—yet today, they fetch a serious premium.

If people had known that back then, they probably wouldn’t have been so limited in production... which would’ve killed their rarity and, ultimately, their value. So really, you just can't predict this stuff.

Look up the value of a "Lil Red Express Truck" and you may find that Trucks can carry/hold value as well.

No one had a clue on those either.

The "Teal TRD Pro" is not your everyday truck either.

Again you are comparing muscle cars to a basic every day truck produced in the millions. No one is paying a premium for some rare paint color Tacoma.

Yes, you are correct.

That in no way proves your point.

Investments are often "overlooked" or dismissed and many don't see it coming. (if they did, they would have invested in it at the time)

I am not saying these teal trucks are going to be worth more down the road, but they might?

I purchased my first vehicle back in 1978 and I could have purchased a Lil Red Express Truck for not much more than a "regular" truck at the time. I am regretting that now.

Ok yes you win. The world “could” also come to an end tomorrow. There is zero financial professionals that are recommending buyer a Tacoma in an odd color as an investment but yes you are right. A wave maker Tacoma “could” be worth more than you bought it for. I also “could” get struck by lightning tomorrow at 6:32 pm.

Toyota in press release announced a bit ago that the highly controversial isodynamic seats will now be an option for 2026 Tundras.

Unfortunately, there has been zero info released if Toyota will finally relent to the complaints and make the seats an option in the 2026 Tacoma TRD Pro vs standard.

Last year, Toyota did not issue the press release on what specific changes (vs the fluff color stuff that happened a month or so ago) will take place in the 2025 Tacoma until Dec 17

Their Tacoma cycle (vs normal new models hitting dealers in Aug/Sept/Oct has been slow rolled...:cautious:

I thought that was the case, but I wasn't 100% sure. It would make sense for Toyota to make those seats optional on both the Tacoma and Tundra Pros, so maybe that will be true for 2026 Tacomas, which a lot of people would like. The bigger cabins of the Tundra would make the size of the seats less of an issue than it is in the Tacoma.

Fair.(y)
...and an underground colored pro w/ tasteful red accents (and interior) - the tone on tone (w/ black) turns my head all day long and twice on Sunday.
