Why are all reviews complaining about price ?

I'm flying down south and driving back 2500 miles for mine. In the lower 48, I found dealerships offering $7400 off; up here they added $7400. One salesman laughed when I told him the price difference. He said they weren't concerned and theirs would sell with the markup--probably before they are delivered.

All that said to say, when I tried shopping locally, Toyotas were the only ones actively marking up their trucks.

Having the same experience! But I guess the salesman is right. Someone is going to pay $72k for the same TRD pro that I'm going to pay $62k for 7 hours away. And yea, others had "market adjustments". Until people stop paying, they'll keep charging.

In my opinion, prices are what they are. Tacomas have always been priced higher than other midsize trucks. It's like an iPhone. Does everyone NEED an iPhone, absolutely not. But are they the most popular phone on the planet (I'm an android guy), absolutely. Popularity drives the brand tax. That being said, no one HAS TO buy a Tacoma so I think the complaining is mostly for clicks and for the sake of complaining.

There are 6 toyota dealerships within 50 miles of where i live. Discounts are huge right now. Competition is really stiff so every dealerships is working hard to sell their vehicles especially trucks. Massive discounts on Tundra and Tacomas. I recently saw 1794 tundras selling for 10k off. Tacomas are around 7-8k off

Not in my area ! Maybe the lower trims. Saw some good deals on SR5, that's about it.
