Wind Fairing Noise on Roof Racks

I've never had a roof rack on a truck so I was curious how much wind noise people are getting when they installed one. I recently installed this rack:

TRUMGETA 1000 lbs Roof Rack for 2024 2025 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab

I really like the look of it but I am hearing some wind noise, mostly for crosswinds. A buddy of mine suggested removing the wind fairing. Any thoughts on that? I am also new to this whole roof rack thing so I'm wondering if maybe I'm just imagining it because I think it's different than without the rack .

Anyways, I was hoping to get some input from the forum as to their experiences with various roof racks. Does having the wind fairing make a difference with wind noise? I know it's there for aerodynamics so I'm leaning toward not removing it.

I'm curious if people can describe more or less for their specific racks. It'd be tough to do a comparison unless someone has bought several (I wouldn't be shocked if someone has ha)

When I installed my bed rack, the cross bars caused very noticeable (irritating) wind noise/whistling. After wrapping the bars w/ paracord in a spiral pattern, the noise was gone. Since the primary function of my set-up is for utility, having the cord there doesn't bother me a bit (YMMV). It's easy enough to remove if you don't like it, but if you feel like trying it out I'd guess you will have similar results---- if there are additional cross members, they may or may not need to be wrapped (likely depends on if the front slanted part blocks/shields them from the wind).
