I am replacing a rigid light this weekend bc of a warranty issue, and I just have a bad feeling it’s going to be stripped… at least it’s on the driver side. I have a glue gun I could use it it’s slightly stripper and that’ll likely be plenty.

I’m going to purchase these inserts so I can freely experiment with my mud flaps without being worried. I’ve got the OEM Canadian flaps I want to put on, but I’ve got to modify them to fit with my wider tires. Been putting it off solely bc of this stupid issue with the screw clips!
I would not be a happy camper to try and mess with my rigid's, they were a pain in my ass to get working, the hot glue is a fantastic solution I would say

The Aliexpress clips should have you sorted, they're hard to remove from the truck, I sorta pull the flat spot off the front and push them through, there isn't really any other way to do it

Dude … when I saw the crack in the glass of my rigid … I was so upset. It was SO hard to install. But again it’s on the driver side and John at SPV has been so freaking easy to work with.

On the removal of the clips … you basically break it off with a pair of plyers? Any risk of causing body damage?

John helped me with two different harnesses, the 2024 and 2025 have different electrical systems it seems 😂

I shove a clip tool under it and they I grab and twist with channel locks to rip it off, you might be able to just push it through with a screwdriver or something small without going through that but I haven't tried it, I haven't damaged anything on my truck yet

I bought them, but they have a bulge that won't accommodate wider tires so I need to modify them.
Just trimmed the hemp down on mine used a sharp strong exacto knife. Pretty easy after they are removed off the truck. Also I actually personally have seen the front flaps off a canaDian 4Runner Pro and the bulge is not there ! Flap is the same without the bump.

I was going to trim it and then heat gun it so it’s clean.

Have you noticed this flap being too rigid for off-road use?
