What’s weird is I didn’t install the DRL harness and upon unlocking the truck I get this light sequence.


Thatwas yesterday.. today I needed to remove the front bumper to remove the fog lights that didn’t work and install my OEM fog lights back and installed the bumper and clip all the headlights back in and I don’t get this sequence anymore. However I do get it when I turn on parking lights only.

any ideas?

Can you share your experiences?

Another experience I noticed in both times of installing the bumper and unplugging the wires I removed the negative terminal of the battery and installed the terminal back after all the plugs were installed. The Alpharex headlights don’t turn on immediately and it took me unplugging and plugging the connections back on the back of the lights housing and the lights turned on.

I never disconnected the battery when I did mine. Just taking the 3 connections that are required to remove the bumper was all that I did.
I wonder if playing with the battery set everything back to default?

The inconsistency of Alpharex.
I just unlocked my truck and the light sequence worked again. Locked the truck and unlocked again and it doesn’t work.

I’m not confident with the fuse and wires so I passed on that option and I was told by many others that the light sequence worked without the harness.

I don’t even get drl let alone start up sequence without that harness. I wish there was some semblance of consistency on their products or at least well documented version numbers stamped on the light with a corresponding features list for each version.

Right now the light has a mind of its own. I can lock and unlock for 10 times and I get the unlock light sequence animation and then all of a sudden no sequence. Lock the truck and come back in about 15 to 20 min and it works again. When did you get your lights? Recently or when they released their batch with no bottom DRL bar light?
