Got the lift and KO3 34s installed on my 25 TRD OR 6MT at the dealership a couple weeks ago. All in it was $5650. Took them an entire day to complete but who knows how long they were actually working on it. Had them put the KO3s on the stock wheels trying to save some money. Unfortunately the tires were rubbing against the nice, shiny new control arms when fully turned. Gave in and spent another $1.5k on some sweet icons with +25 Offset which seems to have pulled them far enough out to not rub. After looking at the final bill it's tough to say if I'd go this route again. Yeah the tires and wheels were a large chunk of it but still, $7k+ can get you some pretty nice aftermarket setups.

Feels great sitting higher and looks cool tho. MPGs plummeting fast

Very confused about the wheels. Stock off road wheels are like +60? How would going to a lower offset help fitment? Looks great though.
I mean, I guess it makes sense if the tires are hitting the control arms, but thats gotta be the first I've heard of that. Why wouldn't toyota control arms work with toyota wheels? Anyone else confused?

All good.

It wasn't the stock wheels that were the problem, it was the 34" KO3s (285,75,r17). The factory OR wheels are +55. Going to the +25 Icons essentially pulled the tire 1.18" away from the control arm which resolved the rubbing issue. Hope that makes sense. You can see the black mark the tires were leaving right next to the trd lettering in this photo

Going to a lower offset moves the wheels outwards clearing more space when you run a wider tire. Ideal offset on these trucks is between +35 to +20 for a nice flush or very mild poke set up. Anything lower or going into the negative offsets will poke even more and potentially have clearance issues due to how aggressive the offset is.

That actually does make sense. I just don't know that Ive ever heard of inner well issues, right? It always seems like people go too low or negative offset and then are rubbing on the outer wells. That does make sense that it can be too far in as well though.

Makes sense! I didn't know it was an issue in both directions! I've seen people put 35s on stock suspensions without rubbing, so I figured a 34 would clear. Maybe it's the uca design or something.

Eitherway, looks great. The brushed metal against the red springs looks sick. How do you like the KO3s? I was interested in a set of them but they're not available in 35 yet and that was the size I just shopped.

Liking them so far, haven't driven on anything but pavement with them just yet but I love how the raised white lettering looks. I initially was going to go with the 35s as well but got too concerned with all the cons of the larger tires. Already averaging like 15mpg on the 34s with all the heavy armor and shit. Trying to figure out what to do about the spare now, definitely can't fit one of these in the regular spot
