Can somebody please share what the dealers are charging for the installation? First hand experiences.

I was quoted $2,000 from one dealer and $2,700 from another. They both made it a point to
say that it includes front end alignment. I was like yeah, no kidding.

highly reputed suspension shop here is asking for $600 for the install. alignment is an additional $100. they won't have Toyota's official alignment specs but they'll probably do a decent job. The dealers are definitely ripping people off with anything more than $1200 total which is also a rip off.

The only positive thing about the dealer install is the 3-year warranty on the parts and labor.
I agree that the cost is up there. When you order from the factory the cost was $3,400.
At the factory you're not paying for the labor for the install.
Actually, now the factory lift price is currently $2,950. I know because I just ordered a new truck.

thankfully it's easy to get a 1 day GTS+ subscription and I have the hardware. i paid $1600 total for the lift kit (sans installation charges). If I can manage to get the installation done neatly within 1200-1400 that will be really nice. Can sell the stock parts for $500.

Depends on which lift kit is installed to determine what the price of install can be. Does this reputable shop know what parts are replaced with this kit? This isn't just shocks and springs. You are replacing the Upper control arms which requires at least loosening the intercooler on one side to get the bolt out. You are replacing the tie rods, the lower mounting bracket for the lower control arm, and depending on which trim you have you are also replacing the axles. All these parts can add up to being a big job. All combined you are anywhere from 4-6 hours plus alignment. Then the price you get quoted is also dependent upon their labor times. A dealers labor rate is almost always going to be higher than a privately owned shop. Also something to factor in, is the dealer price will also include recalibration of the cameras/blind spot monitoring. So their quote is not really a rip off, it just includes more than what another shop can do.

they have watched the entire video from the Toyota dealership on YouTube. They inspected all the parts in the kit that I have in my possession.

stop gaslighting please. the total hours do not exceed 6 hours (installation and alignment) and at 200 an hour this should be 1200 at most. I have the GTS+ and I know about the sensor calibration. The quote I have received is $3000, $3800, $7600 so far on recorded phone calls. I will create a major ruckus at Toyota corporate for this non-sense thievery from the stealerships.

there is a person I know in Florida who paid 1200 after taxes for his TRD Off Road with the Premium package. If one dealer can do it, then others should be able to too.

My bad, I misread part of that. I thought you were complaining about them quoting you $1200. Which to me sounded like a normal price for this kit.

i will for sure create enough ruckus for Toyota to get a grip on its dealer operations but in the meanwhile, maybe there is a dealership in Ontario (I am in Michigan) who could do this for a fair price? any suggestions? thanks.

I think the lift come with silver control arms.
It does. Though if you really wanted you can get them powder coated and then clear coated for pretty cheap depending on who you go to.
