  1. My i-Force Max has an.... Alternator???

I am not an electrical engineer, so I really don't know, but that is what my wife's Lexus dealer told her was killing her battery. They also told her Lexus was aware of the problem but did not yet have a fix. I do know that hybrids and electrics charge the 12v from the traction battery or M/G...
  2. My i-Force Max has an.... Alternator???

Yep, that is what would make me happy too. Good call opening that case with Toyota. They have to know that there is a problem, or they would not have added an alternator for 2025.
  3. PPF

You too. My truck envies your truck getting to live in Idaho, although I am near some great off road country as well.
  4. PPF

I agree and I would have liked to learn how to do that. But my work schedule is crazy and that means little time but enough money to pay to have it done professionally. My detailer said that the hood on my Pro was one of the toughest he had done, and that there were always issues with the...
  5. PPF

You did very well. My quotes for just part of my truck were over $3k.
  6. PPF

You are welcome! I debated all the areas I should cover and at first did not intend to do the whole truck. I started with planning for just the front clip and fender flares, but the sides need protection too, and where do you stop? I drive off road sometimes with my tailgate down and that...
  7. PPF

Mine was $6,500 and that was the best price of four places I talked to.
  8. PPF

That is exactly why I did my whole truck too. It is too pretty to tear up and too capable to keep it off the trails it was built to conquer. Yep - you can do it yourself with some patience and time and if you don't want to pay a detailer that would definitely be my suggestion too.
  9. TRD PRO with 35’s

My previous truck was a Tundra, and although it was a beast it failed the partial offset frontal collision test. It had been designed before that test was used and your chances of leg injuries were high in that kind of collision. The crash plates or pads were one of the methods Toyota used to...
  10. PPF

Good quality PPF last a long time and should come with a warranty as @Mtnbikes said, You should only need to replace it in any high chip areas of your truck. Then it can just be peeled off and reapplied and you are good to go. A friend without PPF on their roof has several chips there after...
  11. TRD Pro Impossible to Align Properly...

I didn't know about that one. So they replaced tires, but did they do anything about what was causing it?
  12. TRD PRO with 35’s

Not wanting to remove the crash pads is why I am sticking with 33's. But do like the look of the 35's and that are great for serious rock crawling.
  13. How to view the window sticker on an incoming 2025

The Toyota tracking system is a mess. My salesperson told me some horror stories of trucks they lost which took months to track down and finally get to their dealership. Good luck!
  14. How to view the window sticker on an incoming 2025

Yeah - Toyota's website has changed and it is harder to find. I got there from Toyota.com by clicking "Shopping" at the top of the page. Then select "Search Inventory" and under "trucks" select either Tacoma or Tacoma hybrid. That takes you to a page where you can set your zip code and pick a...
  15. How to view the window sticker on an incoming 2025

Have you tried searching on the Toyota website? That consistently got me the factory listing with a link to the window sticker.
  16. TERRA 2024 Tacoma Thread (4th Gen)

Yep - both are great colors. I just saw a SO on the road yesterday and it looked amazing!
  17. TRD PRO with 35’s

Sweet! The 35's make our already badass Pros look even more serious.
  18. JBL sound system low volume out of the door speakers

Cool, and thanks. I am in the save some money and shop for a good car stereo installer phase right now and it is good to have a recommendation.
  19. JBL sound system low volume out of the door speakers

@LuckyDog I agree on everything you said. The Beat Sonic helps but a full replacement is the only way to get a true premium sound system in a 4th gen. You can't balance sound levels with the BS amp outputs, because only one gain setting is for the sound system and the other is for all the...
  20. Anyone driven Tacoma & 4Runner TRD PRO back to back?

Looks Awesome! Luckily I didn't need the rear seat space, but it would be a deal breaker for someone who did. Is there very much more space in the back of a 4Runner?
