Hello! I have a 24 Limited not hybrid model, The gas gauge looks like not accurate, for the first 1/4 on gauge, it contains 6 gallons and for the remaining 3/4, it drops really fast. In mainland, it shows around 280-290 miles for distance to empty and I tested it car drive 350 miles. In Hawaii, it shows only 230 miles but I can drive 290-300 miles on Oahu. Anyone have same issue?

Very typical. It seems to be estimating mileage using the computer. Also seems to be estimating based on holding about 3ish gallons in reserve. I appreciate that. I know I can hit 300+ miles even on 33’s and still have a cushion of 60-65 miles in most conditions.

I also think something is wrong with the gas gauge. It used to say 280 til empty now it's saying 230 on a full tank and I have to drive about 70 miles before the fuel gauge start to move. In south Florida. Maybe the dealership has to reprogram computer.

The gauge isn't an indication of accuracy as it will change every fuel up based your driving habits and mpg it calculated over the last tank. You can reset it yourself, but it's going to get you in the same boat as the accuracy won't be there since you're clearing the historical data.

Take it to empty and fill up. You have ~2.7 gallons left when it says 0 miles.

See page 89 of the owner's manual.

If you fill the tank with the gauge near Full it will not display correctly. My experience is when my distance to empty says zero I have 2.6 gallons left in the tank. The fuel range on the display takes into account your driving. With my camper I only get around 16mpg, and the gauge compensates for that instead of assuming I'll get 22mpg.

We had our TH on a 7000 mile trip with 4000 of that pulling a trailer. Got 10-11 mpg while pulling trailer (3500 #). Getting 16-20 when not. Since gas gauge is calculate, when pulling a trailer you can get in trouble. Because I was out west, went 10miles past E and put 17.5 gals in the tank. I would like a gas gauge that shows me how much gas is in the tank, not calculated by the computer. GIGO.

it's pretty funny that when I've gone let's say 20 miles past empty out in the country and I put in 3 or 4 gallons to get back to town where the cheaper gas is, that the gauge doesn't register any gas having been put in... still just says I need to REFUEL đź‘€

Same, and the first 3/4 tank drops pretty fast.
