Anyone out there know if it's possible to add the HUD display to a 2024 TRD Off-Road Premium Build? I know it's a bit gimmicky but I thought it looked pretty neat so I was curious if there was an aftermarket option available.

would be a pain the the ass. There is a specific dashboard that has a cutout to mount the hud i believe.

There are aftermarket huds but idk looks kinda meh https://hudway.co/drive (+ a bunch on amazon)

yeah, you need the offroad/trailhunter dashboard and then whatever screen sits inside it. its not very customizable honestly and i wish it were. i dont even look at it most of the time. do i really need my speed shown in 3 difference places? the only time i could see a good use for this myself is night time driving. dim the dashboard and screen so my eyes can adjust to the night and use the HUD for speed/directions - also note, android auto directions do not display on the HUD only the built in maps does.

from what i can tell, i dont believe the windshield is any different.

I love mine, in fact it was one of the main reasons I got the Tacoma. If I ponied up for a '25 Pro and it's missing, I would be . But timetoeatpotatoes and Blam are right, it would probably be cheaper to trade in and buy one with it, than it is to retrofit. Especially the dashboard.

FYI, I had this issue in my Hyundai HUD, you may have to use your phone's native app for it to appear in the HUD. I noticed my wife's android would show up in the Hyundai HUD, my iPhone same app waze, wouldn't. I opened Apple's nav app on the next trip and I had directions in the HUD. I noticed the same in my Tacoma, and using Apple's nav app fixed the directions in the HUD.

Funny you mention that because i had no idea I even had that option until I picked my trailhunter up.

Yeah - too many changes needed to make it practical to add the HUD IMO.

This is my first vehicle with it though and I love it. I see what I need while keeping my eyes on the road and I seldom look at the actual instrument cluster.

Well be thankful you went TH, as I think I read here that '25 Pro's lost the HUD, which is a shame for a Halo model.

Yes, they did, and I have no idea why. Toyota's options and features structure is bizarre as hell these days IMO.

And it has to be the 2024 dash from the TH.... because the 2025 TH does not come with HUD.....
