I should have gone OR for the aux switches! I have to take extra steps to wire lights into the dummy switches but it’s too late now I already have the vehicle gotta make the best of it!

If you mess around too much, you’re better off to buy an Off Road.

It's extremely easy

All that extra money for a rear locker and crawl control isn't worth it dude, you did the right thing ! SR5 and build or PRO and drive is my personal opinion (and we've all got a lot of those lol)

Part of the fun is building things. With 3k spend it will look as good as a Pro to me

I'm dealing with that right now man. Have done so much to my truck and keep reasoning "you can make it how you want it" but at the end of the day, it's not a Pro and is never going to be a pro.
Plus my cost breakdown:
$37,800 - Truck
$3,500ish - tax/reg
$1,000 - suspension labor I didn't do
$500 - bilsteins
$ 1900 said and done wheels/ties
$300 - skid
$250 - grille
$500 - lightbar
$200 - seat covers
$420 - sub and wiring
$120 - mud flaps
$200 - tow hooks

So I'm at $46,690 so far

If I do the 4 runner lights, pedal monster, cai, fender covers +$2600 ish.

So almost $50K SR5. And that's all stuff I would have done on an OR minus maybe the sub and lightbar which would've put it at the same price as a brand new '26 pro

Best upgrade: WeatherTech floor mats! Nothing else compares in terms of preserving the interior of your vehicle.

They also have a mudflaps for the Tacoma if you are shopping around for those.

I think stock wheels are under rated.

Did you know you can fit 35s on the stock 17" wheels? Every source I can find indicates that Baja Boss 255/85r17 tires (34.6") fit with no trimming. The stock wheels have a larger positive offset than most aftermarket wheels, so they help fitting larger tires.

(I plan to buy these tires, and I believe they will fit without trimming. Every source I can find says they do, but I don't have first hand experience. I'm holding off until next spring, because first I need winter tires. And I'm mounting my winter tires on very inexpensive, slightly used TRD 18" wheels that someone severely under-valued!)

On suspension--honestly, just drive it for awhile. It is a lot easier to ruin your suspension with "upgrades" than it is to improve it. Or go on Ebay and buy someone's lightly used TRD shocks? Cheapest way to get factory upgrades!

Agreed on the stock wheels. They look awesome wrapped in 285/70r17 ATs. There are some examples on the wheel/tire thread.

I would strongly advise against the POS OEM OR Bilstein shocks that are on recall with their reservoirs literally falling off on smooth highways.
