ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

Thanks for looking out. I’ve picked up a beefier version at Harbor Freight in hope of getting that cutting chore done and another project (house type). Got one with the paddle switch and more power. Going to get a few larger clamps for my work table since those are on sale tomorrow.

1-safety glasses! If you shatter a wheel you'll never see it coming...or after.
2-don't push the tool, its not a saw, its a thin grinding wheel - light pressure with the wheel trying to climb up - cuts digging in will go faster, but eat wheels, and adds risk
3- Start with a few super light passes to start a line. That will keep you straight.
4- leave a little extra, you can always take more off. Get a grinding wheel for the tool and it will also clean up the edges.

They sell metal cutting wheels that go on the grinder, that will cut through it like a knife in butter. I cut my tabs off with that then used a grinding wheel to smooth everything down, then finished it completely smooth with a sanding wheel. But I did ruin a pair of tennis shoes from the sparks so leather work boots or old shoes are a strong recommendation.

I bought 4 metal wheels at HFT after chatting with one of the sales staff so hopefully am good to go. I think I bought a few for the edge work too.

Got some cheapie leather work boots that I’ll wear…thanks for that tip.
