ARB Sport Bar + tonneau cover combination -- how to have both (my solution)

I ended up getting a year end 2025 Bronze Oxide Trailhunter with the 5 foot bed. $4000 off TSRP, seemed like a good deal to me. I plan to do this same exact mod to the ARB rack with the Retrax Pro RX tonneau cover. I am hoping my angle grinder skills are up to the task. I am assuming that is the tool of choice for cutting the metal and then grinding it down.

My daughter really wanted me to get white and nickname the truck "Bone Crusher" but I couldn't do it. I did actually like the white quite a bit. I like the bronze so far but it shows every spec of salt from the Minnesota roads, way more than my old 2019 TRD Pro in VooDoo Blue did. In summer however it will be pretty fun and around here, white trucks in parking lots are everywhere and I grew up with white trucks, had to do something different.

Also, I worked pretty hard on my deal, probably the best I have done, but didn't get quite what I wanted on trade-in. The whole thing is smoke and mirrors once the math is all done. Still, probably the best I have done at the end of the day among the 3 Taco's I have owned in my life.

I didn’t do a trade-in on mine. We had two other low value extra cars that we sold, prior to getting the truck, for a total of $13,000.

You are correct. I used a grinder with a wheel for metal cutting, then a grinding wheel to shape it out and finally a wheel for sanding/polishing to make it smooth.
