Honestly, i wouldn't put expensive ppf on a tacoma. It's not a supercar. I put it on a 911 and an R8.

What about the Toyota ones? That you can add when you buy the car

Protecting your investment?

I am guessing your truck was purchased in the 50 k + range so that makes sense. Whether it is viewed as "just a truck" goes out the window when the purchase price heads north of 50 k but that is just my opinion. I personally don't have it on mine but I am thinking about it before I start racking up more miles to face the inevitable by not doing it.

Yes buy the installer. They will all use one of the top brands, xpel, 3M, Suntek. It is all about the installer.
This. Look at Google reviews, stop by the shop to see their work.

That said, I did all that and went with seemingly the best pick...and it's been not that great of an experience. Truck has been back in 3 or 4 times to get stuff fixed. It's still not perfect, but it's close enough.

On the flip side, I am a firm believer in PPF. I routinely hit tight trails - found myself on one near Mt. Rainier on Memorial Day weekend. Had to back out of it due to overgrowth. Limbs making terrible scratching sounds down the entire passenger side. The result? The black plastic fenders got a bit scratched up but the PPF left the truck untouched. If the PPF hadn't been there, the entire passenger side of the truck would have some gnarly scratches, for sure.

I’m a huge fan of SunTek and had it on my Pro and now on my TH — but remember that the skill of the application is as important as the quality of the film — I cannot overstate this fact — find a true pro and don’t go cheap
