OTT was speculating that the motor and turbo upgrade could be good for up to 500hp with some additional supporting mods. I believe that was utilizing a stage 3 tune, which they haven't even released the stage 2 yet.

The initial buzz around the turbo and downpipe has kind of worn off because they aren't yielding jaw-dropping gains.

You've got a few "affordable" mods that free up some power on these trucks, but after that, you're going to be paying a significant amount of $:hp.

@thedave97 - find a local Overland Tailor Tuner near you and have them install the OTT tune. You get free reflashes when they release revisions and updates. Otherwise, find a custom tuner and explain your intended path for the truck.

I've installed two turbos on our personal vehicles, our 4R is bone stock with it currently & a tune. No DP yet. Before it goes on the dyno I'm needing to get a throttle body elbow produced. I have a current CAD I need to finish working on. I had some prototypes produced but they weren't what I wanted as far as dimensions so it's back to the drawing board currently.

Check our website. It's really like 1895 once we get your core back. That's of course unless you want to keep it. We refund the $695 back though once it's received.

I don't think these trucks need a turbo upgrade. A tune is fine for those who just want more torque and drivability improvements. The turbo is already pretty small so it spools up really quick for low end torque at low rpms. If you get a bigger turbo you will probably get better top end mostly but at the cost of low rpm torque. And for a truck you don't really need that since these are heavy bricks on wheels and hitting 100 mph is not a good idea lol. On a sports car, it makes more sense since you're chasing those speeds and don't need a lot of torque like a pickup truck. For a Tuner, go with CAMTuning. He's a remote tuner and has done a wonderful job on my truck.

Dude is saying don't get a bigger turbo in a thread that's about bigger turbos. It's like a vegan saying meat is bad for you in a thread about how to cook meat.
