Took my 24 Sport in for the brake line replacement.
Checked my Carista OBD after arriving home and found a new fault in ABS.
I figured they did something that wasn’t in their repair instructions to trip that code?
I asked the asked the stealership and was told it was ok to reset it.

I can't quite grasp how changing two brake lines could trip a code.
Pretty simple, all that has to happen is unplug an abs sensor or the emergency brake connector at the brake caliper while the key is on, and voila, code is set. too easy for it to happen depending on the technician working on the truck and how they decided to do the work.

But that would be a deliberate act and I can't believe it's needed while swapping brake lines.
But there was no light in the dash, just a soft code in the computer. Only reason he noticed it was because he happened to hook up a scanner. some techs remove the caliper to replace the line. Many techs leave the ignition on as well for quick jobs, allows them to leave the truck in neutral to push/role it around to get the hoist under it.

do the recall, bleed the brakes, road test it - no lights in dash kick it back to customer. Any soft codes stored in computer will clear on their own over time. If someone does what this person did they may find the leftover code.

theres there’s the full detail explanation - very real and very possible.

Stuff like that is not uncommon during service. I would clear it and then make sure there aren't and new codes set and not worry about it.

This code is for the parking brake motor. It sounds like the tech unplugged the connector to that motor to make it easier to route the new brake line. As other's have said, if the vehicle was keyed on, it'll definitely set a code. As long as the code can be cleared and doesn't immediately come back, there's no issue. If it comes right back or can't be cleared, there's a possibility the connector got left unplugged.

These trucks are not fully off when the keys are near it unless the battery is disconnected. Mine tripped an airbag code when the seats were removed for a katskinz install, it wasnt on and they cleared when the seats were reinstalled. They also should have disconnected the battery when doing the work but oh well.

My Trailhunter came with 18” wheels and the recall does not apply. However, I had a set of snow tires that I mounted on 17” wheels. Do you think the dealer would still do the recall work?

Had the brakeline recall work done then a few months later put on method 316 wheels with +25 offset, factory is +55 hopefully wheels don’t create a clearance issue any thoughts
