Crooked Passenger Side Tow Hook on 2025 Tacoma

I bought OEM Toyota tow hooks to install my Tacoma. After installing them both successfully and correctly, I noticed the one on the left (pictures included) is a little uneven.

I don't think this is nitpicking because in the pictures it doesn't look as bad, but in person it's totally obvious.

Anybody else have this issue? I already tried uninstalling it and installing it back on. Still uneven.

Worst-case scenario, I'll keep it how it is, but just wondering if it's common or if there's a fix.

Agree, snaggletooth is a bit off. Not sure if anything can be done.
I don't think it's common. Mine line up fine as far as I can tell.

Can you swap them side to side? You could at least determine if the issue is the truck or the tow hook. I have them and don't even remember if they are side specific.

My truck has the same thing on one of the tow hook mounts. The threaded plate was welded onto the core support a little crooked.

Some square bevel washers would correct it, with equivalent thickness flat washers on the opposite hook to space that one out the same amount. I might do that for mine.

That’s too funny. I just installed rough country recovery and my driver side is exactly the same as yours.
