I was lamenting the idea of buying any sort of ODB scanner tool solely for the purpose of turning off my seat belt chime but was at the dealer getting the BSM recall handled and asked if he could disable it for me. He just said 'Yea...no problem'.
When I'm making the rounds at my ranch, I have to make alot of short start and stop trips to check on things and the chime was really annoying. If you're in a similar situation, I recommend asking the dealer before spending any money for a fix. And when you are driving anywhere else, always buckle up!
