Any comments on factorymanuals.net vs ALLDATA? I have an ALLDATA subscription for my 2014 ES350 and it has been helpful with most of the repairs and maintenance info I have been doing.
Thanks
I used to have ALLDATA for my vehicle and I bought the manuals from factorymanual.net for my Tacoma. The one thing I think ALLDATA has a leg up on these PDF manual is the search function.

With ALLDATA you can search anything and it’ll show you relevant data with the search terms. With these PDF you need to know what you’re after for the search to be somewhat useful.

I would agree about searching. I have an Evernote subscription for something else, but I just dumped all 5000+ PDFs from this manual in there to make them much easier to search. If that’s all you used Evernote for, that subscription wouldn’t be worth it, but it works for me and the info became searchable.

I also bought the manual using the coupon code from this thread. I cleaned up the index html files for Electrical Manual, Body Manual, Repair Manual. I've been happy with this purchase.
Was the index cleanup easy? Any instructions? It is really annoying that clicking on the internal jump links doesn't work (and instead you have to reguess key words and search anew).

Right after I downloaded everything off the FactoryManuals site, I also got frustrated with the HTML links and instead dumped the PDFs into Evernote like I mentioned. Evernote lets me search for anything in any of those PDFs without using the indexes. I'm sure there are cheaper tools out there that would let you do similar.
Looking at the HTML again, it seems like the BM index and RM index work out of the box, and the EM ones are a weird XML that I'm not familiar with. For the RM index it looks like it helps to use the HTML links and not the PDF links. I can't remember anymore which indexes were broken but I definitely saw that at some point too...

I took that as manual transmission was 20% off at dealers for whatever reasons and cried a little inside lol.

My biggest fear is Toyota ending the manual trans era.

Thank you for the suggested solution.
