I think my issue is different than most people are interpreting what is really going on. I filled up my truck and the gauge stayed on 3/4.
See if the information on page 90 of the owner's manual is of any value.

I have tried these methods and am currently in the testing phase. I should be at about a half a tank and that's about what my gauge is currently reading I'm going to go fill it up tonight. One thing that I haven't done in the past which could be causing an issue is sometimes I do not shut my ignition off when I fill up.
