I would love to know if anyone has received the hybrid seat delete recently and if any changes were made. I just ordered the 60% delete yesterday and saw this thread today. If they haven’t made any changes, I’ll probably cancel my order build one myself.
My order arrived first week of June. Zero changes made.

Installed mine and I don't have a single issue.
To help understand:
* When did you receive your kit?
* When you say "...don't have a single issue...' are you saying the version of instructions you received are 100% correct, the seat vent is unobstructed, all bolt holes in seat support frame had corresponding holes in the platform, and all tool call-outs were correct?

I'm hoping, for everyone considering a purchase after yours, that's what your comment confirms.

I'm taking my TH in for 10K Toyota Care Service & probably Trailer BSM, will likely remove my 60 delete so everything is accessible for the techs. I have maybe the 2nd or 3rd build from GG for the hybrid rear deletes, no real issues removing the hybrid filters, I think the design is good, no complaints

Have the 40 delete also, but lately rocking a 3 seater haven't done huge trips as of late.
The access panels are fairly generous in terms of surface area. Unless there's something specific under the seat that needs attention, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to remove the delete just for a routine maintenance visit.

Just my 2¢.

While the filter vents are easily removable I got a heads up from my dealer that for recall & 45k service, mods like that are a no-touch for the techs. It’s an integral part of the truck, need to remove the platform to replace the 12v battery as well. So that thing comes out on occasion with family visiting in the winter too. Don’t forget to apply the antisieze.

I originally thought full delete was the right call but these boxy camping fridges being peddled to the overland crew are an pain in the ass on the rear platform - and with how & where I camp - their extra ~5L is unnecessary. Since switched to a 3 seater setup with a 18L tucked into the floor behind passenger, with solar from the top of the GFC inline to a Li-Ion cell onboard the fridge, couldn’t be happier with this setup. Lighter, and it’s fairly hard to see for smash and grabbers vs a big ass $1k fridge sitting in the back. Obviously can’t do this on a Pro w/the air ride seats.

Water is the biggest weight & duration penalty out there for me, so a slightly smaller freezer/ fridge all good 🤙🏼

I explicitly bought my rear seat delete to mount my ARB 50 fridge. Originally it was powered by a 50ah battery under the fridge, charged off the engine. I have since pulled that battery/charger out, and I now run the backseat fridge off the 200ah in the canopy-camper. The ARB50 isn't large enough for my longer adventures, so I also have an ICECO APL20 in the camper.

Installed early November. Battery vent isn't obstructed. The only thing that was incorrect with the instructions was that it had me drill out a stock trim mount hole that didn't need to be. Otherwise everything lined up perfectly.

I'm getting really close to pulling the trigger on one of these for my non-hybrid but I keep seeing mixed reviews in these threads. Is there not another option out there other than building it yourself, which I still have not ruled out?

To be clear, I think GG makes a quality product. I had a full system in my JK for six years with no issues. The only maintenance I did was once a year, when I’d snug down all the screws with a T5 wrench (I did the same with my Rhino Rack).

For the 4th gen Tacoma, there are two main things to keep in mind:

1) Hybrid vs. non-hybrid
If you have a hybrid, understand that you’re essentially getting a platform only—there’s no usable storage space underneath. If you have a non-hybrid, you can fully utilize the space, and the possibilities are much broader.

2) Instructions
For some reason, the installation instructions have been seriously flawed since the initial release, and they haven’t been corrected (that I've read). That said, if you have basic mechanical skills (for example, can change brake pads, install bed stiffeners<g>), you should be able to work through the issues.

I had the GG system in my 4th gen Tacoma hybrid for about seven months. The quality was excellent, and I had no complaints. I’ve temporarily removed it while my nine-year-old dog is still with us—the factory seats work better for her than the flat platform, even with padding. After she passes, I’ll likely take the GG system out of storage and reinstall it.

That’s the short version.
