I don’t think anyone is doubting the performance enhancement of a tune. I have a OEM tune on my BMW X5 and had a aftermarket piggyback tune on top of it but quickly removed it after experiencing issues.

I think most people’s concerns here are the affects of increased wear and tear of the engine components with a tune.
