Sprinters are already really tall and hard to get stuff off the roof of/put it on.

On a tacoma, I'd be tempted to put them on a rack over the cab or bed if I was towing a trailer.

But that's just me.

Kuat makes a side mount bike rack instead of all the way over the cab or bed. It is probably a love it or hate it mount.... I don't mind it, but I'm sure others would

EDIT: it's not my truck, and I do not have that mount on my truck

I'm in my 30s and I'm sitting here trying to remember if I've ever ridden a bicycle since I turned 16 and I honestly can't remember a single time. Once they started letting me strap engines to shit I never looked back. Same as when they started letting me use the spicy powder in rifles instead of air.

I'm seriously considering an e-bike (in my state, they're considered a bicycle, no matter the power they put down) for exploring without having to take the truck or in places that are "bike trails."

I rode motorcycles for a long long time on the street and went to Cambodia to do moto tours, basically 250cc yamaha dirtbike through the cardamons. One of the first things i've considered is getting an electric dirt bike. if i could swing it, i was actually eyeing something like a https://www.riderawrr.com/mantis-x-pro

~4grand for basically a short range electric dirt bike that weighs 150lbs that gets 20-30 miles of realistic riding.

That does look fun, but it has to be classified as a e-bike rather than a e-motorcycle, if that makes sense. With an e-bike, I can ride it anywhere I can ride a mountain bike. Which opens up a lot of places in my area.

This was one option I was considering https://ride1up.com/product/revv-1-drt/

It’s a great movie but why? At least do the wannabe Ford mod.

I'm confused. Who is talking about a movie? The past like 10 posts have been about mouting bicycles. But most importantly, what does Ford have to do with Predator?

Who cares about bikes? I posted a cringe grille with Predator on it—what’s next, a giant Punisher sticker?

For reference, I’m talking about the Ford Raptor-style light-up grille.

Keep in mind that a property owner, land manager, municipality or county might not adopt the state law as their rules or ordinance. You need to have a class I type to just about universally ride most single track trail, and beyond that not by ill considered by other users in the public spaces.

There are more things to consider for federal lands and park lands. In some cases the class I bikes are not allowed.

Another consideration is lots of them are cheap, weak and unreliable POS products. If you intend to cover some distances and things rugged it pays to get one from a first tier bike company. As a trail steward, and my at times no choice relationships with first responders and people doing a rescue I know that is important. With the popularity of the things I've seen instances when no mercy has been given if the rider is foolish (unprepared) or breaking a rule.

Don't skimp on a rack. The good ones are expensive for reasons, and nothing tops 1Up. Saris makes good affordable and serviceable racks if a 1Up is too much.
