I can definitely understand the "diet" approach. If I were to rebuild my Wrangler, I’d go with mostly aluminum and selectively use steel. Back then, I didn’t know how much abuse to expect, so I went with the "max everything" route. Looking back after 10 years, aluminum would’ve held up just fine—and the improvements in power-to-weight ratio, fuel efficiency, and reduced physical effort would’ve been worth it.6lbs vs the ARB OE @ 20lbs...

Regarding the hook weights: I couldn’t find any specs on SXTH’s site. Just to clarify, we’re talking about a difference of 12 lbs vs. 20 lbs for the set, not per hook. Since I already have the ARB hooks, I’m not sure the cost-to-benefit ratio makes sense for me. But if I were starting from scratch, SXTH seems a solid option.
