❌❗🚫PLEASE! Everyone. Do not drive down a river bed like this. Not only are the environmental, fish and wildlife impacts likely substantial, but it is illegal in most places. Crossing a river by the shortest route possible when necessary is sometimes OK, but check local, state, and federal regulations first. IMO, this video should be taken down to discourage the practice rather than glorify it. While this kid in me agrees it is "cool", the adult in me knows better.

I don't intend any of this as an attack on the OP. I assume best intentions and potential lack of awareness in the absence of information to the contrary.

EDIT:
I just noticed that the OP is located in Mexico. Not sure where the video was taken. The laws may be different, but the impacts still the same. Please don't do this. Not cool.

Being good stewards of the environment we all enjoy is not being a "Karen". I'll bet my mortgage that Theodore Roosevelt is more of a man than you ever will be and he was a huge conservationist. The point isn't to never touch nature; it is to enjoy it so that others in the future can experience the same thing. Be better so other members can enjoy the same thing you did 10 or more years down the line.

No; someone left an insightful, yet respectful comment for OP and any other thread viewers that educates them about the most respectful way to cross rivers and keep the environment intact for others to enjoy. Your immature and irrelevant comment does no one any favors and serves only to contradict his reply with no substance. Perhaps it was a joke - even so it was it was not conveyed as such and the "Karen" / "no fun allowed" attitude is all too common amongst the SXS / rental / Bro crowd and it gets trails and ORV areas shutdown for environmental destruction and dangerous activity. I've seen too many comments saying "bro he's just doing donuts next to the trail stop being a Karen it isn't a big deal" - well I and many others haven't been there yet and I don't want to see a wasteland of tire tracks and destroyed vegetation off the trail - or even worse never get to visit because it was rightfully closed off to prevent further damage.

Yes, yes - I very well know that I am not, and that I can be too much of a square. Still... does that make me wrong? Fall to hedonism and destroy the very thing you enjoyed, or exercise some discipline and self restraint to leave it for the next generation. Perhaps I was too impressionable as a youth, but I'll never forget the reciting the mantra "leave it better than you found it" before police calling the campsite after packing up.

How many on here would buy the OP's Taco from him? If so, you're much braver than I am!
