Hi Everyone,
My name is Jeff, and I have been exploring this forum for a little while now and am grateful for the wealth of information and ideas being shared. This is a great community.
I bought my '24 Tacoma SR (build date 11/24) at the end of January '25 as I had the need for a mid-size truck to support multiple property rebuild projects I have going on post hurricane Helene and Milton. I was looking for a truck with "good enough features for me", 4wd, and a manual transmission. I like the simplicity of the manual SR, and I was fortunate to find the only one (at the time) within my 100-mile online search to be located 10 miles away from me in Lakewood Ranch.
So far, I am really enjoying this truck and have already racked up 8,600 miles. I have driven it from Bradenton, FL to Richmond, VA and back while racking up the miles driving between various projects going on in Florida.
Thus far I have only made a few changes of removing the front air dam, added an OEM trifold tonneau cover, OEM mud flaps, and a retractable rear bed step. I will be upgrading / upsizing the tires when the current tires wear out as I like what member Stephen @TheBandit has going on with his SR with mounting 255/80 R17 on the factory wheels. I may also add a skid plate as I might do some light to moderate off-roading on the Florida Adventure Trail from time to time.
Thanks for your time
Kindly,
Jeff
