I ended up going with the 6112/6100 combo.. mostly because of other reviews and I only go off roading a few times a year--not nearly enough to invest in more expensive setups. However, I ordered my Bilsteins from 4wd parts--who currently has no stock and won't until mid-October. I ordered Dobinsons 869v's in black (also back ordered) and their top hats since the OEM top hats in 2024 had a few failures. I already have the Icon top hat reinforcement and probably will reuse them because I have them, but I doubt they're even needed with the Dobinsons one. Peace of mind I guess.

I only ordered from 4wd parts because of their Labor Day sales... but does anyone know if anyone has the 6112/6100 in stock?

Did you look at mudify or shock surplus?

Do you need to reinforce the top hats?? I don’t think those have issues with failures, just the stock ones.

I heard to many bad reviews here about Shock Surplus. Mudify doesn't specifically say they're not in stock--only to call them. I've considered them but only as an alternate. I don't know of any other vendors.

Anyways regarding the top hats--probably not with the Dobinsons one--but I have them so might as well use them.

Sorry I’m confused. What dobinsons top hat comes on bilstein shocks?

I got my kit from shock surplus and they were fine. My issue was I ordered springs through them from Dobinsons that was back ordered and Dobinsons is really bad at updating their inventory or giving you any idea of when things will be available. As with many vendors, they list/sell parts with a phrase like “subject to manufacturer availability” or something like that.

None that I know of, it was ordered separately.

That's what I hate. I get that most of these shops are just retailers without inventory but it's annoying when you have a project you'd like to get done in a time frame only to find out after you order that parts are backordered. Been dealing with this in my job ordering laptops in bulk from Dell with the sales rep not being upfront about backorders only to tell me after I shell out 6 figures for laptops that there's a backlog.

On a good note, Dobinsons told me that they're getting a big shipment of springs from OZ in a few weeks so the 869v and probably others will be back in stock.

4wd parts said the 6112/6100 is backordered from the manufacturer--hence why I'm looking for places that have them in stock but like you said, lots of websites don't have accurate data. I guess I'm hoping for a parts guy here to read my post.
