I am thinking of removing the Predator steps that came on my OR. Should I put some galvanized bolts in the holes after removing them or is it ok to leave it open? I assume it might get filled with dirt/mud/etc. so probably best to buy some short bolts to fill em?

Yes you’re supposed to replace the bolts. Keeps dirt and mud from filling in. I removed mine and left the bolts in place

Oh so the bolts dont go with it when you sell it? I figured someone who buys it would need those.

Interesting. I sent my bolts with the steps when I sold mine, but that's because I replaced the steps with sliders. I didn't realize that all trucks already had the bolts, but that makes sense! Thanks for the info!

Purchased my TRD OR without running boards. Removed the OEM bolts and used those that came with my choice of running boards. They seemed to be a stronger made, slightly longer bolt than those filling the holes from the factory.

I'm curious, what would you put in its place @bigcanoe? Would you leave it as is, or install some sort of rocker protectors instead? I still have a set of rocker protectors from my TRD Pro after switching over to the TRD aluminum running boards. I haven't had much luck selling them, so if you're ever in TX, I wouldn't mind just giving them to you for FREE.

That is very kind! I live in NC but you never know...I am planning on nothing for now. Maybe when the cash funds replenish I would get some kind of rock rail.

Ah crap… anyone know the specs of those bolts? I gave mine away. Also how many I need?
