Wondering if any of you have run the Rig'd setup on your 4G or rigs you've had in the past.

I looked at them and really like them, but they ended up being close to the same price as a bumper+swingout so decided not to. However I found a good deal on a lightly used one with the cooking table and cutting board already installed, so might snag it.

Anybody run one of these ?

I've been considering one of these, but the price is up there. The only negative thing I read about them is that it hurts your departure angle if that matters to you.

Yeesh! Those things near are bumper money. Personally I'd rather run a bumper mount. Mainly because the bumper mount will be taller and while these things allow a pass through, it says their only rated to 150lb tongue weight. My trailer has more than that empty. Personally I'm eyeballing backwoods rear bumper. Its not out yet, but they tend to use aluminum and steel both to save weight. If their 4th gen is priced like the 3rd, it will likely be $1000 more than these. But thats also netting you a high clearance light weight bumper with integrated lighting and not sacrificing the hitch.

I can definitely see the market for them though with vehicles that don't have a true "bumper". Most of their pics are crossovers rather than actual trucks or SUVs. They have integrated bumpers with plastic covers rather than replaceable ones.

Good thoughts !

I found one for a good deal with the fold down table included in great shape so considering giving it a go and selling if I hate it.
RCI bumper + swingout I can get for $1k more though so idk. On the fence.

We shopped swing outs this week for our Tacoma and Subaru Outback. Mainly wife wants one for the Subie. We passed on RiG’d after a pleasant email exchange with them due to fitment problems with Subarus (hitch is too short).

We settled on the Trail Swing…here are the items she picked out. We will go pick up when it’s ready. They had a $300 discount on the items.

Happy swinging!

I'm running Backwoods, High clearance front bumper with 12k Evo, and love it .

Like other interested, I've been waiting, and waiting, for Backwoods to finish the Rear bumper/ hitch swing.
Although, DV8 just modified their ultra high clearance rear bumper enough now to work with the BSM and Radar. (This is not for the faint of heart, hackedy hackedy, and a bit of welding, and look, way more functional. IMHO

If anyone plans to go with aftermarket, Bumpers, winch, canopy, ext I pray that you have done some math so you don't end up doing this to KEEP YOUR PERFORMANCE.

The down side, Even with a new KING coilover suspension it felt like it's standing on it's toes, when I hit the brakes. I LOST so much of the suspensions ability. King sends them from the factory with 450lb coils in front.

After taking it to a weight station and getting, front, rear, and total weight, I talked with King and described my loss in performance.
King, ran the numbers and recommend I rebuild the front coilovers with 650lb coils, and change out my rear Dobinson 819v's for the 821v's after describing how I am changing the rear bumper and adding a duel swing. Ouch is what I said at that point and what made it even worse, is it took 7 months for the springs to arrive, due to a backorder from both retailers. 😡.
Hope this simple conversation helps so many save thousands that it cost me to keep up my performance.
Rear bumper/swing combos weight alot, even if it's a hybrid bumper.
Don't have the picture of backwoods quite yet.But here's a picture of DV8'S
HAPPY HUNTING.

Thanks for sharing ! Good info.
RCI rear bumper = 103# + swingout = 140# so 243 lbs. Not terrible, but definitely something to consider with our low payload. Rig'd setup = 60#.
My camper is 350# and I have maybe 50# worth of shit in the bed, not planning on much other weight besides passengers and camp gear, but it adds up quick!

Heavy as F… Like a fat man sitting on your bumper. They have to be steel for swing out IDK, make it in titanium for a midsize dammit, I got the long bed can fit my bike in the bed, might get a 1UP but just for 1-3 bikes - largely aluminum and they make a swing out (also steel, hell, make it out of lead brehs). Also made in USA. Upgrade your rear springs if you intend to run an ass ton of weight in the back. The LB crew doesn’t worry about departure angles I suppose. More so rake…

I've got icon overland springs in the back and they're almost too much at my weight. Figured I'd have the 600#s of constant to get them to sit 1/2 inch over stock, but not quite there yet.

This is the one I'm picking up. Only thing is it's the "multi fit" v.s. the short fit. They recommend "short" for the new Taco, 4Runner, and GX. They say this one fits the Taco too, just sits 1 to 2 inches further out. Just can't find anyone to give feedback.
Saves me a good chunk of change though.

Yes the weight does, my setup is almost 2000lb over when I am loaded for a long adventure. I'm setup right at this point for my needs. Happy wheeling.

Nice score-hope it works well for your rig. Could not find anything hused down my way that would fit wasn’t rusted beyond my resto-abilities.

Yea same here. Most of them are priced $1200+ and beat to hell. Picking this up for $1100, hope it's rad! 🤞
