The trucks that I were shopping hard were OR premium and TH. The OR seemed to have 3500 -4500 off window sticker. Some of the TH were 7k off window. I had a white one and bronze one that had the roof rack as well from factory for 60k I just had dealer get back to me that had the black pro and he dropped 4800 off window after I said I'd be there to buy it next day. But then some dealers with 25 OR were wanting 58k and sticking hard to window. Needless to say shopping around can save you a fortune and a 1 way ticket to almost anywhere in 12 hr trip is around $300 or less to get there.
If you're seeing $3k discount on flagship ('7k') beyond that of ORP('3.5k-4k'), that $6k gap I mentioned is miniscule for all that you get. Here's hoping Toyota keeps cranking out too many THs and I can grab a sweet deal.

Were you just trawling autotrader and calling each dealer? I imagine that's more efficient than showing up in person and letting them jerk you around.

Yes i don't walk into a dealership unless I have all terms agreed too and ready to sign immediately. I used cars.com and auto trader. Then just communicate through text. I ask for the vspec sheet which has pricing and options from toyota then haggle prices. Some stick firm and i just keep on to the next. Do it 3rd week of month they'll start getting hungry around last week and start coming back with extra money off as long as you buy it before end of month. Kokomo auto world in indiana has a 24 TH with 1500 miles on it i got guy down to 60k on. I think sticker was 67k i don't ever go to a dealers lot or go to talk to them. I went to one and drove an iforce / iforce max just to see if i liked the truck. Never saw a pro in person until 5 min before I bought mine.

How do you " find out" you have a HUD? I just purchased a 25 Pro yesterday and there isn't a display or really a place for it to project from?

Oof yeah you definitely don’t have it, that’s odd, I guess maybe US specs lost the feature, my Canadian spec has it

Well that sux, seems like Canada gets all the good stuff...HUDs in their trucks and wider mudguards. While US Halos gets bupkis.

I've been planning to get a hybrid OR...but I need a LB. I'm starting to think, despite the price tag, the TH juice might be worth the squeeze. The OR hybrid is already a buttload and, with the add-ons I want, it's almost TH price territory. I am not a fan of the sport bar or snorkel, but the other TH perks are nice but not needed.

Ideal OR spec:
  • TRD OR ($41,800)
  • i-FORCE MAX ($4,800)
  • Upgrade Package ($4,330)
  • SDM ($1,230)
  • Long-bed...not a thing ($500)
Aftermarket
  • Rock sliders ($1,500)
  • ~2" Lift (~$2,000)
Total: ~$58,500

For a relative $6k more, I'd get beefy shocks and UCA, three skid plates, exhaust dump, R/T tires, heated/cooled SofTex, digital RVM, HUD, 3D camera view, air compressor, heated steering wheel, power tailgate, recovery points, and a sport bar I could sell for ~$500. There's some fluff in there for sure, but +$6k upgrade for all that isn't insane.

Meanwhile I'm seeing TH marked down by $5k in some places. ORs are probably similar. So relative price for me is $54k for sufficiently loaded OR, or $60k for a TH...+TTL. I could cross my fingers and wait for a '26 LB Hybrid OR, get a '25 non-MAX LB, or swing for a TH.

I see now why Toyota hid the Hybrid LB behind a big up-sale. Suckers like me are actually considering it.
I got my TH 3 weeks ago. The price difference between TRD OR Premium Hy, Limited Hy and TH were relatively small. The TH was $4000 more OTD.

I liked the interior design much better and went with it.

I have a HUD in my '24 and almost never look at the dash - love it, and would be pissed if they really removed the option for MY25-26. Maybe it has to do with trade embargos/tariffs/chip shortages? I'm not really up-to-date on the latest there. It should also have power folding mirrors, seat memory, and rain sensing wipers. Is there even a new car on the market for 65K that doesn't have those options these days?

This is the way to go. Did this with my SR5. Had the sales manager sign the deal at $37K and send it to me before I rode the train 6 hours with my cash and remaining financing in hand. In and out of the dealership in an hour!

I absolutely love mine. It’s an amazing vehicle out of the box. I’ll be getting another when it’s time. To me, totally worth it to have a truck from the factory with all the bells and whistles .

Same. Had mine for 2 months now and love it. So nice to have all the bells n whistles factory installed with a warranty. Especially when the bells n whistles are the real deal, not half way there and need to get replaced anyway.

I was so disappointed wanting to get the TRD Pro as my first truck to have the rear seats be non-functional because of the front seats. But in hindsight, all those light weight, aluminum skid plates aren't really for trail use, and I'm loving every little feature on it now, the Trailhunter always was the best bang for the buck out there, even as high as it is. I still can't believe how good it is on trails. I'm an ADV trail rider, and trails on a bike are more intimate than a truck. If you know how to handle a line, this thing is just a blast. Just wish there were more trails around here. One day I'll learn how to record a video. Or get it off the dashcam that was included in my sticker.... yeah that too.

I also wanted the PRO until I did the analysis on how much you get with the TH - it has the most kit for sure - snorkel, rock rails and air compressor tipped me over the edge to the TH because no other trim gets those and they are tangible special extras - absolutely love this thing. Also just like the bronze accents etc

Cool man yeah. I haven't even broken out the air compressor yet.

On my way home from the dealer I had to stop and show it off to my Taco fishing buddy. We promptly had it covered in mud and tested out the features around his neighbor's farm trails. One thing I know better though, is to mess around with a nice new rig off road when there's ice or snow. Looking forward to the spring.

Favorite feature so far?

Mine's the bed lights...

Man it’s hard to pick a favorite. The snorkel sound is fun because it kind of engages the driver. I’ve used the compressor a lot for airing down at my ranch. I disconnect the sway bar often. The underbody armor going all the way back to the diff and rock rails have saved my bacon many times when going over bad terrain where I can’t really see what’s in the tall grass that well. But I think my favorite is the old man emu shocks - they make daily driving so pleasant and they also soak up trails nicely. Overall it’s such a great truck. Almost 25,000 miles on the ODO.
