Looking to replace a blanked off switch on my center console area next to my rear differential lock switch.

Whats the best way to pop those out. I’m sure they have to be depressed from the sides, easy if you have access from the rear but Whats the best method from the front?
Thanks

On my Subaru, what looks like multiple individual blanks from above is a single combination piece. Might be similar here.

Unfortunately you're going to have to pop that entire panel and get into it from the rear.

Ch4x4 seems kind of pricey. Other places to get switches for 1/2 cost.
Just picked up a three pack of switches with pigtails on eBay for $28.47 shipped to my door. Got symbols for front lights, rear lights, and a fog light symbol. Only need the F/R light designations.
Might use the extra switch for my winch controls when I get to that job. Also ordered a momentary switch from aliexpress for like .99 and will get here in a couple of weeks when I’m ready to do my garage door opener.
will see what I can do to pop off the pab
nels today or tomorrow.

Flathead screwdriver and from the rear. If you’re talking about the area with the shifter and 4WD selector, that whole plastic piece pops out really easily. It’s got a clip on each corner. There a fair amount of YouTube videos on it.

Finally Eric thanks for the info. Pops right off like you said and the new switch fits in perfectly so when the time comes I’ll be set, thanks again.

Dude nice! I was able to fill a few of my poverty buttons as well. Glad it worked easy for you!

Funny I just ordered a simular garage door square switch from aliexpress for like $1.07 shipped to my door. Should be here in a week or so. Got a spare opener fob so I can steal the guts from that and make it work. Probably install in the same position as yours as that section piece comes out like butta.
Ahh What‘s next…

there’s a thread over on tacomaworld that goes through how to rig it up. It’s really easy if you don’t care about it being backlit or anything.
I didn’t want to have to deal with a t-tap and grounding on either of the switches I’ve got there so it was a 10 minute job. Hardest part was figuring out which switch wires were the right ones to use. For me it was RED and GREEN. Hope that helps!

Where did you get the square camera switch?
That one came with the anytime backup camera mod.
doesn’t look like he sells it separately but you could probably find a similar one on aliexpress or ch4x4 (I think that’s what it’s called)

Thanks! That’s perfect, that’s the kit I ordered and was curious about putting the switch in that location.
