for this install w Custom fit one off Fiberglass enclosure and all sound deadening you'd be looking at 7k but with a pre fab box you would be around 5500-6k, the installer spent 8 days on this install to get the lay of the land and all the sound dialed in.

Holy SHIZZNIZZLE!!! For that price, I’m going to be expecting a little more out of him than just a leveled up stereo! 😉 You’re happy with it and that’s all that matters. I’ll be thinking of you every time I’m bitching my factory “Premium” Cracker Jack stereo. 👍🏻

I saw the installer's video on YouTube, great system! With the 4th gen we either get under the seat or behind the seat to put a sub, and neither is ideal, but with behind the seat you also have the opportunity to add sound dampening and MLV on the rear panel, which reduces road noise, and since I have an exhaust axel dump, that added noise.

TacoTunes is working on a manufacturable box for behind the seat, but has been in "coming soon" status for quite a while, probably due to the challenges your installer needed to overcome. I currently just have an underseat powered sub, but am about to install a Beat Sonic ENX-T330 to cross it over and add DSP with a bit more power to the speakers.

Once a box becomes available, the sub will be switched out with an amp to power one of JL's shallow mount 12" subs.

I'll be interested to hear their box, I have been waiting for there's for over a year now, got tired of waiting and made our own custom fiberglass Box. We pulled everything from the behind the seats to maximize the space and the closer fits every open space along the rear cab and I will say the Subs themselves sounds AMAZING. We did sound dampen the rear panel with the Ground Zero Dampening kit as I also installed the Axle dump and Removed the TRD Pro exhaust.

I think the custom fiberglass is the way to go.

Eventually I have a Sundown Audio SA8 V2 that I'd like to fit somewhere, provided I have the room under the seat.

Damn! That looks and sounds amazing. I had a stereo put in as well but went with the groundshaker under the seat enclosure. Seeing this makes me wish I went this route, but still thrilled with the sound every time I get in the truck. But yeah, it was a shitload of money.

Has anyone’s installer run their system through RTA (real time analysis)? I’d be curious if the ANC (active noise cancellation) signal shows up.

I used Carista to turn it and the engine noise enhancement off. I can’t say I hear a difference, but there’s peace of mind my sub isn’t having to reproduce the ANC signal
