Does anyone happen to know which IHI turbo Toyota is using on these 2.4’s? I’m trying to figure out the compressor wheel and exhaust wheel size.

VB51 is on the Tacoma, but there isn't any good information on that turbo that I can find.

Some reading from OTT Tune….

Through this testing, it's become clear that Stage 2 may not take the exact form we initially had in mind. The stock turbo is clearly engineered for responsiveness and low-end torque delivery, which can be seen as an intentional design choice from Toyota to improve driveability over the previous generation. However, that design priority comes with tradeoffs, particularly on the turbine side, where the turbo quickly becomes a limiting factor when attempting to push beyond the Stage 1 output.

Read that yesterday too. OTT puts out great information. I expect stock location turbo upgrades along with larger intercoolers becoming fairly common upgrades on these trucks.

Can the transmission and differentials handle more power? And how much more? Somebody’s gonna find this out eventually

I’ve got the OTT stage one tune with the enhanced throttle option. Truck feels really good and the transmission shifting is really refined with the tune.
