Good day everyone!

I'm looking at upgrading my suspension and would like y'alls input on overlanding setups.

I've currently got a Smartcap, DIY platform and rock sliders totaling about 440lbs constant weight with plans of an Engine/Gas skid. No plans for a bumper or winch (yet?).

I have a TRD OR long bed and dont want to spend top $$ unless its absolutely necessary. I'm looking at the MT64s from OME but considering the 6112/5160 setup once I get more info about the 6112s when they come out. Looking to get through this year before dropping the $$ on the suspension with UCAs (Icon delta joint over the OME). BP51s are also a consideration but they are def more $$.

I've exhausted youtube and called shock surplus and they just regurgitated their youtube stance. I welcome all your input, good bad or ugly HAHA.

I’m in the same boat. I’m pretty set on just spending the money on kings. But I cant decide on what brand UCAs and lower trailing arms to go with.

What about the eibachs? Get them sprung for your weight with progressive springs?

Yea, I’ve looked at heavier stock height springs but I wanted to get some additional lift as well. As much as some people say 285/70/17s fit without lift or +25 wheels, others report some rub and I don’t want any rub. I get wheels are cheaper than a lift but I feel with my desired use, a lift serves more purposes than wheels and I don’t want to have to spend another $1500 for wheels when bigger tires are already $500 more for the set.

Trying to not spend ALL my money hahaha

Fair enough.

Waiting on baited breath to see how it turns out! I hope you love the solution you select. I too hate spending money. Which is kinda ironic since I also like to offroad.....sigh.

Don’t overlook these. Still using factory UCA’s but clearance is close at full droop. I often carry heavy loads so I put icon triple rate springs then adjust the shocks accordingly usually just dial them up to 5 stiffest settings when I’m loaded to the max (1200+lbs) the rear squats about an inch to 1.5.

Everything, costs $ to play the game. I'm retired at 56 and don't worry about the $
I’m grinding at 42… have a “warden” that wants me to not spend anything let alone buy me a whole taco and allow top of the line mods.
