I went from a '25 TRD OR to my '26 Trailhunter and love the creature comforts... otherwise, the standard capabilities of the truck are mostly the same. Yes, I'd still do it again. Built in camera system, ventilated seats, and swaybar disconnect are what lured me. Dave Ramsey would disown me, but this thing is very much a toy for me so i bit the bullet to get exactly what I wanted the 2nd time around.

And what happens if your life changes in such a way you are forced to pay it off over 6 years, or can't make the montly payments. Dave Ramsey sells peace of mind with his financial advice and plan, it's worth looking into. With all my homes and vehicles paid for, no matter what happens with my work, I have peace. It's worth trying.

I don't fully subscribe to, "eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die," but if you're always worrying about tomorrow you will miss out on what's happening today.

I sold my 2019 Taco Sport for my current 2025 Taco Limited and dont regret it for a minute. Was a great upgrade and I got a great trade in. Nice discount off MSRP, it was a great decision for me. Financially I had the cash so no loans needed. If you have the funds do it. If its going to stretch you in the pocket I say no.

Whatever parts you think k you are missing will probably be easier and cheaper to buy and install and not get a huge truck payment and insurance monthly payment.

While true in an existential sense, many things in life are predictable, such as unexpected illness, unexpected job loss, repair bills, etc. You can roll the dice, but if you don't have the cash in the bank to deal with these potentials, when the bills come, if you are in sizable debt for toys, you will be hurting. Avoid the hurt.
