Whatever parts you think k you are missing will probably be easier and cheaper to buy and install and not get a huge truck payment and insurance monthly payment.

I agree with this for sure. It's why I bought the SR5 in the first place, but seems like a lot of things turn into more things and more time. Lift ? Move the panhard. Moved the panhard ? The spare you just bought doesn't fit. New suspension ? What's that clunk ? Still cheaper in the long run. I get it. Appreciate everything everyone is saying for sure.

I just want the pro, but I only want it in wavemaker. Unfortunately, since I was wishy washy about the deal and didn't have the deposit down while my sales guy was on his weekend, they sold it. Haven't been able to get close to the same deal anywhere else and won't trade my truck at a huge loss, so there ya go! Thanks universe !

While true in an existential sense, many things in life are predictable, such as unexpected illness, unexpected job loss, repair bills, etc. You can roll the dice, but if you don't have the cash in the bank to deal with these potentials, when the bills come, if you are in sizable debt for toys, you will be hurting. Avoid the hurt.

My friend has been the new car manager at my local Toyota dealership for 20+ years. I remember him telling me once that if it weren't for emotional purchases, 75% of their business would not exist.

And what happens if your life changes in such a way you are forced to pay it off over 6 years, or can't make the montly payments. Dave Ramsey sells peace of mind with his financial advice and plan, it's worth looking into. With all my homes and vehicles paid for, no matter what happens with my work, I have peace. It's worth trying.

Well, guys. After 3 weeks of this taking pretty much all of my bandwidth I cancelled the deal.

Life is short, but I am so close to being completly debt free and moving to a smaller town to have a simpler life. Put some cash down to take my SR5 loan down to $8k, ordered 4Runner pro headlights and will get new wheels when I sell mine to beef up my rig and scratch the itch. I think that's the smart move being that I'd have a $38k loan and likely would never even disconnect the sway bar or lock the diff.

I wish I wouldn't have sold my trd performance exhaust, but my wife is happy about that lol

I'm thiiiiiis close to getting 4runner headlights for mine, but I'm thinking I need to save up for shocks ever since that Bilstein recall was announced. Thinking about 5100s - hoping for a cushier ride than the stock OR shocks.

I've got the 5100s. I love them. They don't feel cushier than the OR I test drove, but they don't feel harsh to me. I only have the front on the first circlip though. But @ $500 they're an absolute steal.

Some of the dealers were having a sale through last night. Got the 4runner lights for $1400. Super expensive to me, but cheaper than a pro

Dang $1400 is a great price!

And you're right, 500 is a steal. I think I'll probably use the first clip too - still want some rake! I'd rather spend $600 vs $1000+ for the 6112s that I probably will never be able to justify. Not offroad incredibly often.

I have a thread somewhere, but I am actually at first clip in the front with a 1" spacer in the rear. Can send some photos! I felt, by body lines, first clip was pretty close to level. Brought it to a 4x4 shop for the fronts and he agreed. Other folks have other opinions, but that's how it was on my long bed.
Someone else here recently installed and measured them against the hitachis on the sr5 and looked like the 5100 was seated 1" higher without touching the circlip settings, so that would explain all the confusion I had, but not sure how they measure against the OR shocks. I'd check that before you decide on which setting, could save you some annoyances
