However, this is an excellent reference video of how to remove interior components.
Thanks. That is the hardest part of a project like this most of the time. I also want to add sound deadening mat. My truck is quiet but that makes a huge difference and was something I did on my 2nd gen Taco too.

I'll probably get the speaker kit and then wait for a proper solution to give us the sound the factory failed to give us from the start.

If you install the speakers I would love to hear what you think about them. To me the lack of a really good sound system is even more of a miss on your Limited, than on an off road focused trim.

My biggest concern about how well this might work is not the speakers, but the factory amp. It is the reason the center speaker is over amplified, and also the cause of the muddy sound out of the door speakers. I wonder if just having better speakers will improve the sound very much because of that. Either way I would love to hear how this works out.

Yes, please report back to us once you upgrade the speakers. I will wait for your input before I make a decision.

Watched that Orrella amp video from Tacoma Beast and it seems very impressive but reading the comments, that thing was over $2000!!!!! WOW, might be too much for my blood.

I was going to do the same thing with adding the beat sonic amp and changing out the door speakers.. talked to a buddy of mine and he convinced me to let him fix the problem.. now my system sounds so wonderful I can’t believe it.. I can get all the windows to get fuzzy from the bass. Best 2200 bucks that I’ve spent on a truck sound system and he said it was one of the inexpensive systems that he does… no more shit sound

@Vidman You can't leave us hanging? Details! 😁
Did he swap out the speakers along with a different amp or what?
For $2200, it sounds a lot like the Tacoma Beast kit.

Actually it was a little more than that.. all speakers are focal.. the door speakers were 800 for the 4 of them. The amp is an audio dynamics mk1000.6 with an audio dynamics dsp812-hifi plus all the fancy wires and connector..the center bluetooth speaker is long gone. I use that in my ranger.. left the factory sub woofer behind the seat. That thing really bangs with some nut behind it

Regardless of what you pick, the factory amp is essentially neutering the system as is.
