What’s up guys! Pumped to share this, it’s the second one we’ve done & can’t wait to do more

We got another upgraded OEM direct bolt on replacement turbo installed yesterday. We have a YouTube video coming out with how to do it. Give us a follow (shameless plug) haha.

Just to note - this one did go in a 2025 TRD Pro 4Runner, but it’s the same process so figured I’d share it here also.

Enjoy some pics!

Any dynos or information on how it performs yet?
As of yet, no. There’s something we’re currently waiting on before we get it on the dyno. Hoping to have that in the coming months. As of now it’s just, “Trust me bro!”

All jokes aside, there’s a noticeable difference no doubt. I just can’t give an accurate representation of what it is yet unfortunately.

Pretty cool. Do you happen to know if the new turbo (or even the OEM for the matter) is designed with a ball bearing or a journal bearing?

Considering this in the future. Want gears and my permanent-size tires though.

Just curious. Is this just a ported stock turbo with a bigger impeller etc?

tires are never permanent

the upgraded turbo is a custom ball bearing CHRA upgrade

This is the most underwhelming turbo swap thread Ive ever seen, sorry
Yet you still took time out of your day to comment

This wasn’t meant to be an encompassing post by any means.

We also don’t believe in using ChatGPT to write our posts for us like many others do. So what you get is real, brief, and to the point.

I just don’t really see what the point of posting this without a dyno is. You’re replacing the stock turbo… with basically the stock turbo. With no dyno tests. Carry on..

R&D doesn’t get completed all at one time, but thanks for bumping the post :)

It’s the second one you’ve done. You didn’t dyno the first? You guys just install new turbos and don’t test them?
